Brain Injury RESEARCH
Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems – Brain Injury Database to Study Outcomes
Summary
The purpose of this database is to help us better understand the types of changes that occur after brain injury, expectations for recovery and long-term outcomes after brain injury, and how to improve care for people with brain injury. RHI inpatients who have had a traumatic brain injury and meet other inclusion criteria are approached by researchers at RHI to be enrolled into this database. Information is collected about the person, their injury and their functioning in the hospital and throughout the course of their recovery.
This study is funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research.
